BlockVault is a non-custodial, self-custody wallet. This means:
❌ We never collect, store, or have access to your recovery phrase (seed phrase)
❌ We never collect or store your private keys
❌ We never have access to your funds or assets
❌ We do not require account registration or personal information
❌ We do not track your wallet addresses or transaction history on our servers
❌ We do not sell or share any data with third parties
- Data Stored Locally on Your Device
All sensitive data is stored exclusively on your device:
Recovery phrase: Encrypted and stored in your device’s secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain)
Wallet addresses: Stored locally in your device’s database
Transaction history: Fetched directly from public blockchains, not stored on our servers
App preferences: Stored locally (language, theme, settings)
- Blockchain Interactions
When you use BlockVault to send or receive cryptocurrency:
Transactions are broadcast directly to public blockchain networks
Transaction data becomes part of the public blockchain ledger
We do not operate or control any blockchain networks
We do not have the ability to reverse, cancel, or modify any blockchain transaction
- Third-Party Services
BlockVault may interact with:
Public blockchain nodes: To fetch balances and broadcast transactions
Price APIs: To display asset valuations (no personal data shared)
Block explorers: For transaction history (public blockchain data only)
These services receive only public blockchain addresses, never your private keys or personal information.
- Security
Your security is our priority:
Private keys are generated and stored only on your device
All sensitive data is encrypted using industry-standard encryption
We use hardware-backed security when available (Secure Enclave, Android Keystore)
We never transmit your private keys or recovery phrase over the internet
- Your Responsibilities
As a self-custody wallet user, you are responsible for:
Safely backing up your recovery phrase
Keeping your device secure
Never sharing your recovery phrase with anyone
Understanding that lost recovery phrases cannot be recovered by us or anyone else
- Children’s Privacy
BlockVault is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
